Playing Volleyball to Release Negative Thinking
We are living in a complicated life with many pressures from life,
relationship, work and study, so bad feeling and negative thinking are easy to appear
in our mind. I am sure that we never want appearance of negative thinking to our
mind, but we cannot stop it because it is a feeling of human being. I know that
there are many books, many websites which give us many ways to release and
forget negative thinking. In my case, the best way to release and forget
negative thinking is playing volleyball.
Volleyball is a team sport that requires us to know how to pass ball, understand
teammate to support and combine with them and hit ball over net. I think this sport
is not too difficult to play. However, the most importance thing which I love
this sport not because I want to be a good player or fit body, but to release
my negative thinking after one day of studying and working.
I am not good at playing, but I am always eager to play, to go to the
volleyball field after class in the afternoon. As we know, every day, we have
to cope with many problems: happiness, sadness, success, failure. If we don’t release
them, we always feel tired and stressful, so they will affect to our life. We will
not feel happy and comfortable to enjoy this life. Therefore, we have to find
way to release, to forget it as much as possible.
In my case, when I play volleyball, I don’t force me to win the match,
only need to try my best to play, to live fully with the moment which I am
existing and try to forget what make me sad, unhappy and tired. Especially, I only
focus on how to catch, to pass to teammate and hit ball over net, I don’t want
to think to negative things of the day which I have lived. In my opinion, that
is good way to live with present and enjoy life. Moreover, I try to make fun,
always smile even my team loses. I think that only laughter on the field volleyball
just helps me release my negative thinking, reduce my pressure and forget my
sadness.
Moreover, volleyball cannot play alone or individually, it forces us to
play and work with teammate. If we want to win and make the match become more
dramatic, we have to help and support to each other, focus on how to pass the
ball smoothly and know how to sympathy to each other when somebody cannot catch
the ball. Therefore, we only concentrate to play well, to combine smoothly with
teammate, so we are easy to forget everything outside the volleyball field. As I
said, we play because of relaxation, creation of laughter, not achievement, so
after playing I am sure that we will feel very comfortable and healthy.
So, that is my best way to release my negative thinking in my mind, how
about you? If we want to enjoy a happier life, we have to find way to relax
after a day with studying and working. Although, this life is always complex, I
believe that we know how to make it easier.
