Leader & Law
Leader & Law
To have a stable and strong
nation, there are many important elements which affect it, especially politics.
However, nowadays law becomes a wonderful tool and very effective for the rich,
sometimes nothing with the poor. Many leaders who only know to protect, to care
for their chair. Besides, many politicians prefer to use trickery and force
than law in politics to get their purpose.
We come back with in the age
of Plato, he divided society to become 3 groups:
* The first is educated
class. He called them philosophers. They are considered the most important
class in society because they lead and give policies and laws for the nation.
This class has to be masterful, because they guides and give the law, policies
to develop state.
* The second is soldier who
protect nation. They use force and power to protect state, create a peace for
state and go to invade and expand territory.
* The third is worker who
seek the food. They focus on produce food which support not only for themself
but also for soldier, all society.
He also said that: To have a
stable, strong state, three groups have to a close connection, live in harmony
and cooperate to build state.
We can see clearly, Plato
focused on the educated class - “wise philosopher” who are masterful in
politics. He cared for how to have a good relationship and live in harmony
between leader, soldier and people. He believed that is the best way to build a
strongest state.
However, nowadays, leader of
some countries do not pay attention to the “first class”, even people, they
only focus on how to protect their safety in politics. For example, Communist
in Vietnam.
Communist only focus to
build a strong government with force and power. Clearly, they forget to train
and educate national leaders. Really, they spend too much money and time to “protect”
and build a regime which is not suitable with development of society and cannot
help to develop state. So, they do not know this regime needs to change or they
are too extreme and selfish in policies?
